Downloadable Backups are Here!

Posted by C. G. Brown Wed, 27 Feb 2008 18:57:00 GMT

While we take every precaution to make sure customer data is backed up and protected, our ProjectLocker Lite customers have been clamoring for the ability to download Subversion backups and Trac backups, similar to the Archival service for ProjectLocker Enterprise.  The ability to take on-demand backups is now here.  For just $2.50 per project per backup, you can create a backup accessible in ProjectLocker Portal and downloadable for 30 days.  You can access this via the Backups section in ProjectLocker Portal, visible to all account administrators.

We are open to suggestions for features and improvements to this service.  We're trying to provide as many services and features as we can while keeping the prices low, but we'd love to hear your thoughts.

ProjectLocker Enterprise Upgrade Complete

Posted by C. G. Brown Tue, 26 Feb 2008 20:52:00 GMT

We just completed an upgrade this weekend to the ProjectLocker Enterprise servers.  We upgraded Subversion to the latest release, Subversion 1.4.6, and Trac to version Trac 0.11.  We've also put in a few performance tweaks and infrastructure changes that ought to lead to even better performance.  Last but not least, we've upgraded our backup solution, so we are now providing 30-day retention of backups for all Enterprise accounts.

We're pleased with the results so far, but of course if you run into any post-upgrade issues, don't hesitate to contact us.

Welcome to LockVox, the ProjectLocker Blog

Posted by Damon Young Fri, 22 Feb 2008 23:06:00 GMT

Greetings and welcome to the official blog for all things ProjectLocker.   And, unlike most company blogs, product updates and press releases will be just the tip of the information iceberg here at LockVox.  Above all else, ProjectLocker is a firm dedicated to software quality. And, while we believe proper and powerful tools are an absolutely essential ingredient for any quality strategy, those tools and the teams that use them must be supported by equally powerful & appropriate processes and best practices.  So, in addition to headlines regarding new features, services, and options across the ProjectLocker suite, our team of quality experts & partners will also share their wisdom on the latest tricks and tactics that can empower developers just like yourself to save time, save money, and build better software faster.  We invite you to watch, read, and join in the discussion.  We'll have MUCH more to say from now on.

Cheers.
